Heavyweights will take over North Carolina as the UFC hosts a fight night on ABC. Jairzinho Rozenstruik faces Jailton Almeida on May 13.

The fight is in the Spectrum Center and can also be viewed via ESPN+ in the U.S.

Ranked ninth in the UFC’s heavyweight rankings, Rozenstruik turned pro in 2012 and joined the UFC in 2019. The former kickboxing star and WLF Super Heavyweight Tournament Champion is 7-4 with the UFC and is 2-2 in his last four fights. Following a two-fight losing streak, Rozenstruik bounced back with a knockout win against Chris Daukaus in December. 

“Bigi Boy” faces a rising star in Ameida. Ranked 12th, Almeida turned pro in 2012 and joined the UFC in 2021. The former Thunder Fight light heavyweight champion made an impact on Dana White’s Contender Series and has won four bouts in the octagon, with two via TKO and two via submission. “Malhadinho” last fought in January, beating Shamil Abdurakhimov via TKO.

The co-main event will be former light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith vs. Johnny Walker, a bout that was supposed to headline this fight night.
