Manchester City’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland was very approachable in a post-match interview for CBS in which he asked the legendary Thierry Henry, a commentator for the American network, for advice.

Haaland asked the French legend if he could improve his game in any way. All of this came just minutes after winning the Champions League.

Henry’s advice to Haaland that has gone viral

With the former Arsenal forward considered one of the greats of the English game, it made sense for Haaland to seek him out.

“You don’t do anything worse than anyone else, but with your back to goal, if you went more often to the right… there’s room for learning,” Henry explained.

Assuring the Norwegian that if the movement he normally makes to the left was also mastered on the other side and with the other foot, his goal output would be even stronger.

“You would score 100 goals. You would score 100 goals a week,” he concluded.

Haaland thanked him for his comment with a laugh, reminded that he is only 22 years old and assured fans that he is constantly learning as a footballer.

Haaland’s stats this season

The Norwegian striker has exploded in his debut campaign in the Premier League and the numbers back that up.

In a total of 53 games, he has managed to score 52 times. These are figures that only a few in the world have ever managed before, hence why he is considered the best around right now.

What’s more, these numbers have made it possible for him to win the European Golden Boot for the first time, the award that every center-forward eyes as a secondary objective.

In the Premier League, Haaland has scored a total of 36 goals in 35 games. Meanwhile, in the Champions League the Norwegian has scored 12 goals in 11 games.
